Welcome to Ahmedabad! Good morning, adventurers! Today's the day your wildlife journey begins. After you land in Ahmedabad, we'll whisk you away to your hotel. Once you've freshened up, we're off to Kankaria Lake for a relaxing boat ride. It's a great way to shake off that travel tiredness and get your first taste of Gujarat's natural beauty.

Off to the Little Rann of Kutch Rise and shine! We've got an exciting day ahead. After breakfast, we'll hit the road for a 130 km drive to the Little Rann of Kutch. Keep your eyes peeled for interesting sights along the way. In the afternoon, get ready for your first wildlife adventure – a jeep safari to spot the unique wild ass and colourful migratory birds. Tonight, you'll sleep under the stars in a cosy desert camp. How's that for a proper wildlife experience?

Exploring the Little Rann Early birds, this one's for you! We'll start the day with a morning bird watching tour. The Little Rann is a birdwatcher's paradise, so bring your binoculars! After lunch, we'll visit nearby villages to see local artisans at work. It's a great chance to pick up some unique souvenirs. We'll cap off the day with another evening safari in the Rann. Keep your camera ready – the sunset here is stunning!

On the road to Gir National Park Today's a travel day, but don't worry – the 375 km journey to Gir National Park is full of interesting sights. We'll make stops along the way for refreshments and photo ops. Once we reach our lodge near Gir, we'll stretch our legs with a relaxing evening nature walk. It's a nice way to get a feel for the area before tomorrow's big adventure.

Lion country – Gir National Park Exciting times ahead! We've got two safaris planned today to maximise our chances of spotting the famous Asiatic lions. Between safaris, we'll visit the Gir Interpretation Zone to learn more about these magnificent creatures and the park's conservation efforts. Don't forget to ask your guide lots of questions – they're a goldmine of information!

More Gir adventures Another day, another chance to spot lions! We'll head out for morning and afternoon safaris again. In between, we'll visit Devaliya Safari Park, also known as the "Gir Interpretation Zone". It's a great place to see lions up close if we've had trouble spotting them in the wild.

Blackbuck bound – off to Velavadar Time to say goodbye to Gir and hello to Velavadar Black Buck National Park. It's about a 200 km drive, so we'll set off after breakfast. Once we arrive, we'll head straight out for an afternoon safari. Velavadar is home to large herds of blackbuck antelope and even wolves if we're lucky!

Velavadar to Jambughoda We'll start the day with one last safari in Velavadar before hitting the road again. Our destination today is Jambughoda Wildlife Sanctuary, about 280 km away. After checking into our accommodation, we'll go for an evening nature walk to stretch our legs and start exploring this lush forest area.

Discovering Jambughoda Today's all about exploring Jambughoda. We've got morning and afternoon safaris planned to look for leopards, sloth bears, and various deer species. In between, we'll visit some nearby tribal villages for a taste of local culture. It's a great chance to learn about traditional ways of life in this part of Gujarat.

Jambughoda to Jessore Sloth Bear Sanctuary Another travel day takes us 290 km to Jessore Sloth Bear Sanctuary. But don't worry, the journey's part of the adventure! We'll arrive in time for an evening safari where we'll search for the sanctuary's namesake – the sloth bear. These shaggy creatures are a rare sight, so fingers crossed for some good luck!

Bear necessities in Jessore Our penultimate day is dedicated to exploring Jessore. We'll go on morning and afternoon safaris to maximise our chances of spotting sloth bears and other wildlife. In between, we'll visit the beautiful Balaram Palace – a nice contrast to the rugged wilderness we've been exploring.

Farewell to the wild All good things must come to an end. After one last morning safari in Jessore, we'll make the 190 km journey back to Ahmedabad. As we drive, take some time to reflect on all the amazing wildlife you've seen and the adventures you've had. We hope you're leaving with a camera full of photos and a heart full of memories!
