Golden Triangle Explorer: 7-Day Adventure in India

Rise and shine! Today's the day you'll really get to know Delhi. After breakfast, we'll kick off our adventure in Old Delhi. First stop: the magnificent Jama Masjid. This stunning mosque is one of the largest in India - you'll be amazed by its size and beauty! Next up is a real treat - a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk. Hold on tight as we weave through the narrow lanes of this bustling market. It's a bit chaotic, but that's all part of the fun! Keep your eyes peeled for colourful saris, fragrant spices, and glittering jewellery. Our last stop in Old Delhi is the impressive Red Fort. This massive red sandstone fort was once home to Mughal emperors. As we explore, I'll share some fascinating stories about its history. (Just remember, it's closed on Mondays, so we might need to shuffle things around if you're here on a Monday!) After lunch, we'll fast-forward a few centuries as we explore New Delhi. We'll visit Humayun's Tomb, a beautiful example of Mughal architecture that inspired the Taj Mahal. Then it's on to the Qutub Minar, a towering minaret that's stood tall for over 800 years. We'll drive past India Gate (perfect for some quick photos!) and catch a glimpse of the President's House and Parliament building. It's amazing to see how Delhi blends its ancient history with its role as a modern capital. To cap off our day, we're in for a special treat - a sound and light show at the Red Fort! It's a magical way to revisit the fort and learn even more about its rich history. By the end of the day, you'll have seen Delhi from top to bottom. Time for a good night's sleep - tomorrow we're off to the city of love!

After breakfast, we'll hit the road for Agra. It's about a 4-hour drive, but don't worry - the time will fly by as we chat about what we've seen so far and what's coming up. Feel free to ask any questions you have about India - I love sharing stories and facts about this incredible country! Once we reach Agra, we'll head straight to the Agra Fort. This massive red sandstone fort is like a walled city within Agra. As we wander through its courtyards and palaces, I'll tell you about the Mughal emperors who once called this place home. Keep an eye out for views of the Taj Mahal in the distance! In the evening, we've got something special planned. We'll head to Mehtab Bagh, a beautiful garden that offers the perfect view of the Taj Mahal at sunset. As the sun goes down, you'll see the white marble change colours - it's absolutely magical! Don't forget your camera for this one. After sunset, we'll head back to the hotel. Why not try out one of Agra's famous Mughlai restaurants for dinner? The butter chicken here is to die for!

Today's the day you've been waiting for - we're visiting the Taj Mahal! We'll need an early start to catch the sunrise, but trust me, it's worth it. As the first rays of sunlight hit the white marble, you'll understand why this is one of the world's most famous buildings. I'll share the romantic (and a bit sad) story behind the Taj as we explore. Take your time to soak it all in - this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience! After our Taj visit, we'll hit the road for Jaipur. It's a longer drive today, about 5 hours, but we've got a great stop planned along the way. We'll visit Fatehpur Sikri, a fascinating abandoned city built by a Mughal emperor. It's like stepping back in time as we explore the well-preserved palaces and courtyards. We'll reach Jaipur by evening. Once we've checked into our hotel, how about a stroll through some of Jaipur's local markets? It's a great chance to pick up some souvenirs or just soak in the lively atmosphere of the Pink City.

Get ready for a day full of colour and culture in Jaipur! We'll start our day with a visit to the stunning Amber Fort. And here's the exciting part - we'll ride elephants up to the fort entrance! It's a bumpy but unforgettable experience. Once inside, we'll explore the fort's beautiful palaces, temples, and gardens. Keep an eye out for the intricate mirror work in the Sheesh Mahal - it's absolutely dazzling! After lunch, we'll dive into the heart of Jaipur. We'll visit the City Palace, where you can see how Jaipur's royal family lived (and still lives!). Then it's on to Jantar Mantar, a fascinating collection of astronomical instruments. I'll show you how to tell the time using the world's largest sundial! Our last stop is the famous Hawa Mahal or "Palace of Winds". This unique building with its hundreds of tiny windows was designed so the ladies of the royal household could watch street festivals without being seen. To cap off our fantastic day, we've got a special evening planned. We'll enjoy a traditional Rajasthani dinner complete with a colourful folk dance performance. It's the perfect way to experience the vibrant culture of Rajasthan!

And just like that, our Golden Triangle adventure comes to an end. Depending on your flight time, you might have a chance for some last-minute shopping or sightseeing in Delhi. When it's time, we'll drive you to the airport for your departure flight.
