G'day and welcome to incredible India! As soon as you touch down at Indira Gandhi International Airport, we'll be there to greet you with a warm smile. No need to fuss about transport - we've got it all sorted for you. We'll whisk you away to your comfy hotel in New Delhi where you can freshen up and relax after your long journey. Take a quick kip if you fancy, or maybe a dip in the pool to shake off that travel fatigue. As the sun sets, get ready for a proper Indian welcome! We're taking you to Indian Accent, one of Delhi's top-notch restaurants. Here's where your taste buds will get their first introduction to the magic of Indian flavours. From modern twists on classic dishes to innovative new creations, this meal will set the tone for your entire foodie adventure. After dinner, it's back to the hotel for a good night's sleep. Trust me, you'll want to be well-rested for tomorrow's feast of experiences!
Rise and shine, food lovers! Today, we're diving headfirst into the flavourful chaos of Old Delhi. After a quick brekkie at the hotel, your guide will meet you for a walking food tour that'll knock your socks off. First stop: Paranthe Wali Gali. This narrow lane is famous for its parathas - flaky, stuffed flatbreads that'll make your mouth water. Try a few different fillings - potato, paneer, or even a sweet one with nuts and sugar. Yum! Next, we'll weave through the bustling streets to Ghantewala, an old-school sweet shop. Here, you'll sample some traditional Indian sweets. Warning: they're proper sweet, but oh so delicious! For our final stop, we're heading to Karim's. This place is a Delhi institution, known for its succulent kebabs. Whether you're a meat-eater or veggie, there's something here to tickle your taste buds. After all that eating, you might think you're done for the day. But hold your horses! In the afternoon, we're rolling up our sleeves for a cooking class with a local family. You'll learn how to whip up some classic Indian dishes and get a peek into everyday Indian life. For dinner, we're going posh at Bukhara restaurant. Known for its Northwest Frontier cuisine, this place serves up some of the best tandoori dishes in town. Don't miss their famous dal bukhara - it's slow-cooked for hours and tastes like heaven!
Today, we're swapping the hustle and bustle of Delhi for the romance of Agra. After breakfast, we'll hit the road for a comfortable drive to the city of the Taj Mahal. Once we reach Agra, it's time for the main event. Get ready to be gobsmacked by the Taj Mahal! This wonder of the world is even more stunning in person than in photos. Your guide will fill you in on all the juicy details about its history and architecture. As the day winds down, we've got a special treat in store. You'll get to watch a cooking demonstration of Mughlai cuisine - the food of the Mughal emperors. Think rich, creamy curries and aromatic biryanis. Best part? You get to eat it all afterwards!
We're not done with Agra just yet! After brekkie, we'll visit the impressive Agra Fort. This massive red sandstone fort was the seat of Mughal power for generations, and it's got some cracking views of the Taj Mahal. Then it's time to hit the road again, this time heading for the 'Pink City' of Jaipur. But don't worry, we won't go hungry on the way! We'll stop for lunch at the grand Laxmi Vilas Palace in Bharatpur. Talk about dining like royalty! We'll reach Jaipur by evening, just in time for dinner at Cinnamon restaurant. Here, you can try some local Rajasthani specialties - don't miss the laal maas (spicy mutton curry) if you're a meat-eater!
Rise and shine! We're kicking off the day with a visit to the magnificent Amber Fort. This honey-coloured fortress-palace is a stunning example of Rajput architecture. Don't forget your camera - the views from up here are spectacular! In the afternoon, it's time to don your aprons again. We've arranged a cooking class focusing on Rajasthani cuisine. You'll learn how to make dishes like dal baati churma and gatte ki sabzi - proper local fare! For dinner, we're in for a real treat. We're heading back to Amber Fort, but this time to the 1135 AD restaurant. Imagine dining on royal Rajasthani cuisine while overlooking the twinkling lights of Jaipur. It's a meal you won't forget in a hurry!
After breakfast, we'll begin our journey back to Delhi. But don't worry, the foodie adventures aren't over yet! Once we're back in the capital, we'll head to Dilli Haat. This open-air market is a food lover's paradise, with stalls selling regional specialties from all over India. It's like taking a culinary tour of the whole country in one afternoon! For our grand finale, we're pulling out all the stops. Dinner tonight is at Kingdom of Dreams, where you'll be treated to a spectacular Bollywood show while you dine. It's the perfect way to end your Indian adventure with a bang!
All good things must come to an end, but we've got one last treat for you. After breakfast, we'll stop at Foodhall, a gourmet food store where you can stock up on spices, teas, and other goodies to take home. Then, with heavy hearts (but very full stomachs), we'll drop you off at the airport for your flight home. As you board your plane, we hope you'll be taking with you not just some extra kilos, but a wealth of delicious memories! Safe travels, and don't forget to try out your new cooking skills back home!
