You've made it to Delhi – the beating heart of India! As soon as you step out of the airport, you'll feel the energy of this amazing country. We'll be there to greet you with a big smile and a warm "Namaste!" Then, it's off to your home for the night – a beautiful heritage haveli hotel. These old mansions have been lovingly restored, so you'll get a taste of old-world charm with all the modern comforts.
Rise and shine! We're kicking off your Delhi adventure with a morning yoga session in the lush Lodi Gardens. It's a great way to shake off any jet lag and get into the Indian spirit. Next up, we're heading to Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, a stunning Sikh temple. Here's a cool bit – you'll get to help out in the community kitchen. It's a great way to meet locals and give back a little. In the afternoon, we'll explore Hauz Khas Village. This trendy neighbourhood is full of quirky shops, cafes, and art galleries. It's the perfect place to grab a bite and do some people-watching. As the sun sets, we'll take a leisurely stroll through Connaught Place, the heart of New Delhi. And to cap off the day? We're going to watch a Bollywood movie in one of Delhi's iconic cinemas. Get ready for some toe-tapping tunes and over-the-top drama!
Time to hit the road! We're driving to the impressive Bishangarh Fort. This 230-year-old fortress is now a luxurious hotel, and it's where we'll be spending the night. In the afternoon, you'll get your hands dirty (in a good way!) with a pottery workshop. A local artist will show you how to turn a lump of clay into a beautiful pot. Later, we've got a treat for you – an astrology session with a local expert. Whether you believe in it or not, it's fascinating to learn about this ancient practice. The next day, we're off to Jaipur, the 'Pink City'. Here, you'll try your hand at block printing – a traditional textile art. We'll also visit the Galtaji Temple, better known as the Monkey Temple. Can you guess why it got that name? In the evening, sit back and enjoy a spectacular Rajasthani folk music and dance performance. The colourful costumes and lively rhythms are sure to get your feet tapping!
Next stop: Nimaj! This little town is off the beaten path, which means you'll get to experience the real, rural Rajasthan. We'll be staying in a traditional haveli – a private mansion that's been converted into a hotel. It's like stepping back in time! One of the highlights here is the opium ceremony. Don't worry, it's non-narcotic! It's a traditional Rajput custom and a fascinating cultural experience. You'll also learn the art of turban tying. Trust me, it's trickier than it looks! We've also arranged a visit to a local school. It's a great chance to meet some of the local kids and maybe even teach them a bit of English.
Ready for some nature? We're heading to Jawai, known for its unique landscape and leopard population. Don't worry, we'll be staying in eco-friendly cottages, not tents! A local Rabari guide will take us on a nature walk. The Rabari are a tribal group known for their distinctive dress and jewellery. They know this land like the back of their hand. We'll also visit a shepherd family to learn about their way of life. And guess what? You'll be learning to cook some delicious Rajasthani dishes. Yum!
Time to feel like royalty! We're off to Devigarh, where you'll be staying in a restored palace hotel. It's proper luxury, this! We'll visit the beautiful Eklingji and Nagda temples, followed by a meditation session with a local guru. It's a great way to find some inner peace. You'll also get to try your hand at Pichwai painting. It's a traditional Rajasthani art form that depicts scenes from Lord Krishna's life.
On our last full day, we'll start with a morning aarti ceremony at a local temple. It's a beautiful and serene experience. Then, it's time to fly back to Delhi. But the adventure's not over yet! We'll visit Dilli Haat, a fantastic market where you can pick up some last-minute souvenirs. We'll end the trip with a special farewell dinner, complete with a classical Indian music performance. It's the perfect way to say goodbye to incredible India.
Before you jet off, we've got one last treat – an early morning visit to Delhi's flower market. It's a riot of colours and scents that you won't forget. Then, sadly, it's time to head to the airport. As we say in Hindi, "Phir milenge" – See you again! What do you think? Sounds like quite an adventure, doesn't it? Remember, this is your trip, so if you want to change anything, just let me know. I'm here to make sure you have the best time possible in Rajasthan!
