Maybe have a quick nap if you're feeling a bit jet-lagged. In the evening, we'll all get together for a tasty welcome dinner. It's a great chance to meet your fellow travellers and chat about the exciting adventure ahead. Your guide will give you a quick rundown of what to expect over the next few days. Rise and shine! Today's the day we dive into the heart of Delhi. After a yummy breakfast at the hotel, your guide will pick you up for a full day of sightseeing. We'll start in Old Delhi, where you'll feel like you've stepped back in time. We'll visit the massive Red Fort, a real stunner with its red sandstone walls. Then, we'll take a rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk. It's a bit crazy, but that's all part of the fun! Next up is Jama Masjid, one of India's largest mosques. If you're up for it, we can climb the tower for a great view of the city. After lunch, we'll head to New Delhi. Here, you'll see the contrast between old and new. We'll check out India Gate, a war memorial that looks a bit like France's Arc de Triomphe. Then we'll drive past the President's House and Parliament Building - they're huge! We'll finish the day with a visit to Humayun's Tomb, a beautiful building that inspired the Taj Mahal. In the evening, we've got a special treat - a visit to the National Zoological Park. It's a great intro to some of the animals we might see in the wild later on our trip. Back to the hotel for dinner and a well-earned rest!
Today we're off on a real adventure! After an early breakfast, we'll head to the train station. We're taking a train to Sawai Madhopur, the closest station to Ranthambore National Park. The train journey is about 4-5 hours, but don't worry - it'll fly by. You'll get to see the Indian countryside rolling past your window. It's a great chance to chat with locals and fellow travellers. When we arrive in Sawai Madhopur, our driver will be waiting to take us to our jungle resort. It's not far - just about 20 minutes away. Once we're checked in, you'll have some time to relax and explore the resort. Take a dip in the pool if you fancy it, or just chill out and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. In the evening, we'll go for a nature walk around the resort. Your guide will point out different plants and maybe even some small animals or birds. It's a nice, gentle introduction to the area. We'll finish the day with a delicious dinner at the resort. Get an early night - tomorrow's going to be exciting!
These are the days we've all been waiting for - our chance to spot the magnificent Bengal tiger! We'll have two full days in Ranthambore, with morning and afternoon safari drives each day. Here's how it'll work: Early morning (around 6 am): Wake up call and quick tea or coffee 6:30 am: Head out for our morning safari 10 am: Back to the resort for breakfast and some rest 2 pm: Lunch at the resort 3:30 pm: Afternoon safari 7 pm: Back to the resort for dinner During the safaris, we'll drive through the park in open-top jeeps. Keep your eyes peeled and your camera ready! Besides tigers, we might spot leopards, sloth bears, deer, crocodiles, and loads of birds. Your expert naturalist guide will help you spot animals and tell you all about the park's ecosystem. They know all the best spots and animal behaviours, so you're in good hands. In the evenings, we've arranged some special activities. We'll watch wildlife documentaries to learn more about the animals we've seen, and you'll get to chat with wildlife experts. It's a great chance to ask all your burning questions! Remember, wildlife spotting needs patience. We can't guarantee you'll see a tiger, but the thrill of the search is all part of the adventure!
After our last morning safari and breakfast in Ranthambore, it's time to hit the road. We're off to Bharatpur, home to the famous Keoladeo Ghana National Park. The drive takes about 5-6 hours, but we'll make stops along the way. It's a great chance to see more of rural India and stretch your legs. We'll reach Bharatpur in the afternoon and check into our hotel. Take some time to freshen up and relax. In the evening, we've got a fun activity planned - a bicycle tour of Keoladeo Ghana National Park! Don't worry if you're not a pro cyclist, it's a flat and easy ride. We'll pedal around the park, spotting birds and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere as the sun sets. Back to the hotel for dinner and a good night's sleep. Tomorrow's an early start!
Rise and shine, bird lovers! We're up with the birds today for an early morning tour of Keoladeo Ghana National Park. This park is a bird watcher's paradise. Your guide will help you spot some of the 230 species that call this place home. Keep an eye out for painted storks, spoonbills, egrets, and if we're lucky, the rare Siberian crane. We'll explore on foot and by rickshaw, so you can get up close to the action without disturbing the birds. After a late breakfast, it's time to head back to Delhi. The drive takes about 4-5 hours. Once we're back in the city and checked into our hotel, we'll have our farewell dinner. It's a chance to swap stories, share photos, and say goodbye to your new friends.
And just like that, our adventure comes to an end. Depending on your flight time, you might have a few hours to do some last-minute shopping or sightseeing. When it's time, our driver will take you to the airport. As you fly home, you'll have a camera full of photos and a head full of memories from your Indian wildlife adventure!
