Good morning! Today's the day you arrive in Varanasi. We'll pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel. After you've had a chance to freshen up, we'll go for a walk along the ghats. These are the steps leading down to the river, and they're the heart of city life here. As evening falls, we'll head to the main ghat for the Ganga Aarti ceremony. It's a beautiful ritual where priests offer fire to the river goddess. You'll see lamps floating on the water and hear chanting - it's quite magical!
Rise and shine! If you're up for it, we can start the day with some yoga by the river. It's a peaceful way to begin your day in this spiritual city. Next, we'll take a boat ride on the Ganges. You'll see people bathing and praying in the holy water. We'll also visit some important temples in the city. In the afternoon, it's time to get cooking! We'll learn how to make some tasty Banarasi dishes. It's a fun way to understand the local culture through food. To end the day, we'll enjoy a concert of classical Indian music. The music of Varanasi is famous throughout India.
This morning, we're off to Sarnath. It's where Buddha gave his first sermon, so it's an important place for Buddhists. We'll see ancient ruins and a museum with fascinating artefacts. In the afternoon, we'll explore Varanasi's famous silk industry. You'll see how the beautiful Banarasi sarees are made. We'll even try our hand at either saree making or block printing - your choice! As evening comes, we'll wander through the old city markets. They're full of colour, sounds, and smells - a real feast for the senses!
Our last morning is free time. You might want to do some shopping for souvenirs or just relax. If you're keen, we can arrange some optional activities. In the afternoon, we'll take you to the airport for your flight home. We hope you've had a wonderful time in Varanasi!
